And
just to whet your appetite, here are
some of our itineraries:
Tour
for Climbing Specialists
Up and down along
the hilly ridges that delimit the area
of Romagna and the Marches. The route
is not very long, approx. one hundred
kilometres, but it requires cycle training
and effort. As is typical of the itineraries
around these parts, there is a bit of
everything: bends, climbs, descents;
all that’s missing, if anything,
flat land and this might disappoint flatland
cyclists and lovers of the high gears.
The
Gentle Hills
A long route along the foothills, or the country road that runs parallel to the Rimini Riviera, offering splendid views of the sea, hills and towns.
This cycle route is graded medium-difficult, with a fairly long section of flat land and some climbs which are, at certain points, fairly steep and for which a gear ratio of 35/25 is recommended.
The Malatesta Fortresses of the Valconca
This route winds its
way through the southern part of the province,
among the ancient estates of the Malatesta
family, the Lords of Rimini, who built
fortified castles in all of the important
towns. This cycle route is considered rather
difficult and, while not requiring extraordinary
feats, presents a series of considerable
climbs, requiring the use of low gears.
Panoramic
Sea route
We’re off! In
the direction of Gradara, Tavullia to
explore the hinterland of the Marches
territory, descending towards Pesaro. >From
here we take the Panoramic route in order
to admire the splendid Adriatic Coast
and the historical town of Fiorenzuola
di Focara.
